Cynthia Stevenson knows that every really hot chick role needs a less hot chick best friend. Cynthia may not be smoking, but she’s cooking up something with that girl-next-door cute allure. Born in Oakland, California, and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Cynthia made her TV debut in an episode of Max Headroom in 1987. She went on to appear in works such as A Father’s Homecoming (1988), Newhart (1989), Married to the Mob (1989), Double Your Pleasure (1989), Cheers (1989), Booker (1990), Empty Nest (1990), To the Moon, Alice (1990), The Famous Teddy Z (1990), My Talk Show (1990), and Major Dad (1991). Cynthia’s greatest exposure came in Robert Altman‘s satirical look at Hollywood, The Player (1992). She is the ever-loyal assistant/lover of oblivious studio player Tim Robbins. The hot-tub scene sticks out as one of the film’s high points thanks to Cynthia’s perky nubs making their screen debut. How about an encore? In the comedy Live Nude Girls (1995), which follows a B-movie actress planning a slumber party with her pals the night before she gets married, Cynthia delivers on the title’s promise, showing off some thigh and side boob while she giggles with her besties. Some of her more recent credits include Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories (2015), Famous In Love (2017), and How to Get Away With Murder (2018).
